Luxury Life Kenya has always been about the people behind exceptional ideas. The visionaries, artisans, entrepreneurs and
creators whose work leaves a lasting mark.
Over the past year, our own story has evolved too. We launched LLK Digital and our newsletter, taking these conversations beyond the printed page. The magazine itself has traveled across continents and
oceans, finding its way onto coffee tables around the world.
Yet one thing has never changed. From the very beginning, we envisioned Luxury Life Kenya as a collectible publication. One to be kept, revisited and shared. Because the stories we tell are not chosen for a season, but for their lasting relevance.
As we were planning an edition dedicated to sport and wellness, the world seemed to arrive at the same conclusion: wellness has become the new luxury. This year, sport has taken centre stage, from the Winter Olympics to Roland-Garros, Wimbledon and the FIFA World Cup. At the same time, brands are investing in movement, recovery and longevity with the same passion they once reserved for fashion. Alo’s wellness yacht on the French Riviera and Guerlain’s spa aboard the new Orient Express Sailing Yacht are just two examples of how wellbeing has become the ultimate luxury experience.
East Africa is embracing this shift in its own way. Running clubs are bringing communities together, padel courts continue to appear across our cities, Pilates studios are thriving and a new generation is placing greater value
on both physical and mental wellbeing.
That spirit runs through every page of this issue. We meet Emily Chepkor, whose We Run Nairobi has inspired thousands to get moving. We discover the holistic philosophy behind Green Heart, explore the stories of Rosenkrantz, Lichthaus, Gym & Tonic and Amani Yani, and join the four friends behind South Tuk, whose remarkable journey from Kenya across continents reminds us that some of life’s greatest rewards come from curiosity, courage and adventure.
Luxury has always evolved with its time. Today, perhaps more than ever, it is not measured by what we own, but by how we choose to live.
I hope these pages inspire you to move, to explore, to look after yourself and, above all, to appreciate the people behind the ideas that shape our world.
